Valyncia Morrison

I am eternally grateful for Valyncia’s graciousness and patience as we search for every possible record of her Great Great Great Grandmother, Delphia Greenleaf born in 1790 in Africa and enslaved by the William Walker family. Her tenacity is a constant inspiration for me in my research. I am fortunate she took me under her wing. It is because of her diligence and persistence that I have been able to do this work.

David Walker

My 6th Cousin, David Walker, wrote a very in depth website that gave me the first insight into my Walker Ancestors. He has been a wealth of knowledge, passion and mentor in historical research on our shared ancestry. Thank you, David for all your efforts and steadfastness.

Coming To The Table

One of the first actions I took when I discovered this brutal and painful history was reach out to CTTT. I thank them for creating a safe space of comfort, conversation and community around the legacy of enslavement.

Yamona Pierce

Yamona Pierce has been a guiding light and trail blazer on my journey through this research. She is the founder of Hamilton Hood Foundation and working towards reclaiming and preserving her ancestral burial ground that was desecrated by the landowners. Pierce Chapel Cemetery. Please support her and the wonderful work she is doing in Harris County, GA.

AAGHS-Atlanta Chapter

The African American Genealogical Historical Society for welcoming me and supporting me in my quest to publish this body of research. They were a important catalyst in launching this website. I am forever grateful for their warm welcome and expertise.

FUND FOR REPARATIONS NOW!

I joined FFRN! a white led reparations arm of the National African Reparation Commission to support Black led reparations efforts to pass Federal level reparations shortly after I began my research. The deep respect and passion that each Board Member brings to the reparations movement has legit made me a better person. Please read about our work!
